Orangutans in Atlanta zoo got a chance to play games, scientist are studying the cognitive skills of the orange and brown primates. There are monitors located outside letting zoo visitors to watch how the orangutans are doing, they are playing a specially-designed matching and memory games.

“The more we understand about orangutan’s cognitive processes, the more we’ll understand about what they need to survive in the wild,” said Tara Stoinski, manager of conservation partnerships for the zoo. “It enables us to show the public how smart they are.”

While doing cancer research, John Kanzius discovered that he could actually burn salt water in a test tube just like the candle. The discovery spawned interest from the scientific community, mostly concerned with “whether or not, the water could be used as a fuel. Video after the jump.

The colorful roses are created by a Dutch company Happy Colors. Apart from rose, they also sell other colorful flower. The flowers is colored by injecting pigments into the stem using hypodermic needles.

I’ve just got a message from one of my friend. Message written: go see the sun. I thought it was a prank so, I asked her why? She said got rainbow around the sun. I quickly brought a camera down and have few shots on the sun. Can’t see direct from eyes, it’s too bright so I just aimed the camera to the sun and took a few shots.
