iFixit has disassembled the iPod Shuffle 3rd generation. Take a look what’s inside. The battery is soldered, battery replacement can be done through Apple but that will cost you $49, and a brand new Shuffle costs $79, thirty bucks more you can get a new one. Josh from Australia has created this Wooden iPod Mini. It is handmade from Australian red cedar (a type tree / wood), Camphor Laurel for the clickwheel, brass plates, brass screws and the body of the wooden iPod mini. It uses screws, no glue need but the click is attached to the sensor via double-sided tape. Check out the disassembled after the break.

This robot is called Robochan. It is a created by an enthusiast in Japan. Robochan uses Apple iPod Touch as the head, face and the brain. Watch it in action after the break.

The 18 bucks Ozaki iCommand allows the iPod Shuffle 3rd gen to work with other common third-party headphones. It features integrated volume controls on one side and the multifunction play/pause/track button on the other side. More pictures after the break.

Aibelive has announced their AITALK voice controller for the iPod during the Computex 2009. It supports multi-language and allows you to activate or change music with your own voice, the voice control. AITALK makes easier for iPod users to listen music while jogging, doing exercise or when their hands are busy with something else. Pricing and availability is not available at the moment.
