Nós já falamos aqui sobre a conexão USB 3.0, chamado de superspeed por ser até dez vezes mais rápido que o padrão atual 2.0 (hi-speed). Parece que finalmente a super conexão, em desenvolvimento desde 2007, vai sair do papel. Essa semana, durante o Intel Developer Fórum (IDF), em San Francisco, será mostrado o primeiro protótipo de uma câmera de alta definição (1080p) para se conectada a um computador, usando o padrão USB 3.0.

A câmera foi desenvolvida pela Point Grey Research e conta com um sensor de 3 megapixels, capaz de gerar imagens com resolução 1920×1080p a 60 quadros por segundo. A conexão será feita num micro criado pela Intel (processador, chipset, placa mãe e afins, serão obviamente da empresa) e segundo os executivos o fato de ter imagens nessa resolução e com uma comunicação rápida irá levar ao desenvolvimento de uma nova gama de aplicativos para serem associados à câmera, como, por exemplo, o reconhecimento de face.

Ozone has released its Smog gaming mouse. It is right-handed mouse that features an adjustable right-side hand support, a high-precision laser sensor called the Avago 9500, 7+2 programmable buttons, five Macro modes for gaming profiles and supports up to 5040 dpi via software. The mouse also comes with ceramic footpads and adjustable weight with six 5g weights. Smog is available at 49.90 Euro (about $74).

Alright, this is not just concept. PrintBrush is a real product, wirelessly connected via Bluetooth, powered by rechargeable batteries and print on any flat surface even fabric. It uses some super accurate optical sensor to detect and can print a full size A4 or letter format silently. Expected to be sold in 2010 at $199.

VIA is introducing its new Nano 3000 series processors which are the competitor to the Intel Atom CPU.

Vioguard LLC has come out with a hygienic keyboard which is also claimed as the world’s first self-sanitizing computer keyboard that kills germs and viruses. The keyboard was introduced at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) 91st annual meeting in Toronto.
