BenQ S6 Mobile Internet Device is powered by 800MHz Intel Atom CPU. It has a 4.8-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, 512MB DDR2 RAM, a 2GB SSD, Bluetooth 2.0 / WiFi, HSDPA, microSD slot, inbuilt G-sensor and support various multimedia formats, and comes with cool “free-surf” user interface. Chinese company Hongrun Electronics has released a Mobile Internet Device named MID700. It is powered by an 800MHz Telechips TCC8901 chipset and comes with a 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen display, a 256MB RAM, a 2GB of Flash storage, an SD

Did I mention that it’s cute? Ah, nvm… Hey it changes colors too! Maybe because it’s cute, that it won a Red Dot Design Award. This Coway AP-1008 Air Purifier has a 3-stage Hepa filtration system which removes 99.5% of airborne particles. That means dust and germs all gone, nearly. There’s also an illuminated hole that will glow in a specific colour, pending on how filthy your room is. Red indicates high levels of pollution, light purple for medium pollution, purple for low pollution and blue signifies the room is 99.5% clean. Of course that last 0.5% of air pollution could very well contain those microscopic bits that eventually get you, but for $279.99 you’re greatly increasing your odds of not getting sick.

In a ‘fiery’ interview by The Wall Street Journal, RIM’s co-CEO Mike Lazaridis commented on the recent multiple bans on their BlackBerry smartphones. Lazaridis said that “this is about the Internet,” and that “everything on the Internet is encrypted. This not a BlackBerry-only issue,” before adding that if “they can’t deal with the Internet, they should shut it off.” But that’s not all. Lazaridis further went on to saying that “we’re going to continue to work with them to make sure they understand the reality of the Internet,” noting that “a lot of these people don’t have Ph.Ds, and they don’t have a degree in computer science.” Despite those statements, however, Lazaridis seems confident that the situation will get sorted out, saying that it “will get resolved if there is a chance for rational discussion.”

Great news for Google and his pals. People seemed to have liked their Android phones more than the other two fruit companies. Surely nobody can further comment, when the consumers have voted with their wallet. NPD, the consumer market researcher has gotten hold of the numbers for the sales for the second quarter of 2010. Android triumph with 33 percent of overall sales, while the former champion black fruit company RIM was down to 28 percent. The white fruit company Apple only occupies about 22 percent, making it the 3rd place holder of this quarter-fight championship.

The Windows Phone 7 tablet is a concept by designer Umang Dokey. It features 8-inch touch screen, two webcams for 3D video calling, inbuilt stand that works as a stand or keyboard if you flip to the front, and two joysticks behind that can be uses for scrolling and gaming. Video after the break.
